 When is the best time to book for a wedding photo or videography?

The BEST time to book for any event is at least 2 months to the event. This is to enable us do the necessary pre-production, have consultations with our client to know exactly what their expectations are and to adequately prepare to meet them satisfactorily…

How do I book?

After selecting a package from our rate card menu, potential clients can contact us by sending an email through our CONTACT menu. Be sure to state the type of service you require as the subject of the email.

Carefully describe the service into detail together with the date and time frame.

We typically get back to all clients within 48-72hrs.

What time will you arrive at the event?

Either photo or videography service, we will arrive at least 60 minutes earlier than the agreed time of the package chosen by client. This is to enable us do a quick scouting for places of interest as well as capture very pertinent details before main ceremony and also create a relaxed environment for both client and team.

What this means is that we will be adding an extra hour on every package chosen by client for free.

However, any extra hour(s) accumulated during the course of event hitherto what was originally agreed on will attract extra hourly charges.

 Who will shoot my event?

Desouza Photography is a team of skilled and very creative individuals who understand the dynamics of every project and have the right experience to handle it.

Thus, be rest assured whichever team mate will show up has exactly what it takes to deliver efficiently.

 How many photographers will be at the event?

This will be based on the package chosen. However, if you are expecting more than 120 guests and you happened to go for a one photographer package(Basic Package), we strongly advise to add an additional Photographer from our team to reduce the stress of the single shooter and help to achieve a more comprehensive documentary.

 When do I meet the Photo/Videographer

It is important to make your bookings and once that process is complete, you will be assigned a Lead Photog/Videographer(s) for your event, who you can either meet in person or on zoom depending the type of package…

All the same, all our packages come with a 1 time free consultation.

 Will our photo/videos be featured your Instagram and website?

Yes and no, Images captured by Desouza Photography do not automatically feature on our social media platforms and website. Clients will appreciate that thousands of images are captured each month by our photographers and not all can be featured.We however reserves the right to select images (at our own discretion) to feature on our social media platforms and blogs. Images created for our clients under the copyright law are deemed as Shared Ownership. This means that both the client and the creators (Desouza Photography) have equal rights to the images to share and reproduce them. Full Copyrights to images can however, be requested by a client at a charge. The charge is for the selling over of Desouza photography’s shared rights to the client. Once a client has Full Copyrights, Desouza photography will have no right to share, reproduce or commercialise the images without the permission of the client.

 Do you touch up all the images before delivery?

Yes, we typically do high end retouching on selected images where there is high end smoothening, blemish removal, color correction, grading and sharpening.

We also do mellow regular retouch on the rest of the catalogue to bring it at par with trendy editing standards that’ll meet clients’ expectations.

How long will it take to receive our product?

A: Softcopies of pictures will be delivered within 14-21 working days. However we may share a few highlights with you as and when we make progress with the post production process via a Dropbox link  or we transfer link. (Files are most likely to be the retouched images that come with your package). Full video will be ready in 40-60 working days and short trailers will be ready between 14-21 working days. Full deliverables from pictures and videos packages respectively will be delivered within 60-40-60 working days. Kindly note that express services can be requested and will come at an extra charge.

Where you are based and do you travel out?

We are based in Queens, New York  and the DMV (Washington DC, Maryland & Virginia) to be precise. However, we are open and available to travel anywhere our services are needed. This will mean client will have to cater for our transportation and accommodation if the event is beyond New York. Trips outside New York will require that we are there a day before to enable us prepare adequately and rest for the busy day ahead. Clients will have to hear from our photographers their desired means of transport and support them in every way possible to make their journey a convenient and comfortable one.
